A white koi with a single red mark on its head, the one deliberate accent on an otherwise quiet body. The Rising Sun Koi takes its name from that mark, laid on by hand like the red disc of a Japanese sunrise. Gold cutouts run across the white shade and warm to a soft glow when lit. It carries the restraint of Japanese minimalism and wabi-sabi, where a single imperfect detail is the whole point.

What makes it special

Rising Sun Koi arrives fully assembled and ready to hang, no crafting required. Each one is cut, folded, and painted by hand from washable paper fabric, the red mark placed on every piece individually, so no two sit exactly alike. Lit, the gold pinholes glow from within and the red catches warm against the white, so the lamp itself shimmers softly rather than throwing light around a room. It suits a hallway, a bedroom, a reading corner, or a home office that wants one calm, characterful focal point.
