A small goldfish, folded from paper and lit from within, drifting above a cot. Baby Goldfish is the little one of the pair: sized for a nursery corner, a shelf, or the space beside a bed where a full-size pendant would crowd the room.

What makes it special

It arrives fully assembled and ready to hang, with nothing to put together. Each goldfish is handcrafted from washable paper fabric and folded entirely without glue, so its delicate fins and faceted body keep their shape beautifully. Lit from within, the lamp glows with a soft, warm light and the fine cutouts scatter it across the ceiling.

  • Ready to hang: arrives fully assembled, no crafting or gluing required.
  • Material: washable paper fabric, a tear-resistant, vegan, paper-like fabric that keeps its shape and will not crease, tear, or sag the way ordinary paper does, and wipes clean under water.
  • Handcrafted without glue: assembled entirely without glue or adhesive, held together by interlocking tabs.
  • Handcrafted design: an original, 100% human-designed piece, with no AI at any step of the design.
  • Lighting: the lamp clips onto any standard E27, E26 or E14 fitting in two clicks, no tools needed. An optional cord set is available with the socket, an inline switch, an EU plug, a ceiling hook and a wall plug, so it hangs where you want it and the cable runs to the nearest wall socket. LED bulbs only, bulb not included. It cannot sit flush to the ceiling: allow at least 20 cm of cord below it.

Two goldfish, one room

Baby Goldfish has a larger sister. Mommy Goldfish is the bigger swimmer, and the two can be taken together as a pair for less than buying each on its own. Hung at two heights they read as one piece, a grown goldfish and her young crossing the room.

The goldfish was a drawing before it was a lamp, and that study is June in Before the Fold, part of our 2027 calendar collection. The rest of the line hangs in children's pendant lights.

  • We offer an optional cord with a length of 3.4 meters that comes with a light socket compatible with E27(E26), a switch, and an EU plug.
  • For our customers located in the USA or the UK, we also provide an EU to US/UK plug adapter. Please note that the lamp is only suitable for use with LED light bulbs (not included).

Our lights are handmade by hand in the Netherlands on a small scale. As a result, kindly allow for a processing time of 1-3 business days.
