Weeks begin on Monday. This is the international edition, made for everyone whose week does not start on Sunday. If you want a Sunday start, choose the US and Canada edition instead.

Twelve portraits, one for each month, painted in the manner of a Renaissance or Baroque master. The sitters are sea creatures, and every one of them is dressed for its own month: an Elizabethan lace ruff in the snow of January, a harlequin's collar in May, a gold crown in August, black water and a drifting jellyfish in November, jewelled gold and white lace in December.

A3, 297 by 420 mm, wire bound at the top with a single hole to hang it by. Printed on matte paper with eco-friendly inks, with week numbers down the left margin. Nothing sits in stock: each calendar is printed after you order it, close to where it ships.

January: a pale blue fish in a huge white lace ruff and dark blue velvet against falling snow, above a month grid whose weeks begin on Monday.
February: a blue fish in a finned tricorne and blue and gold brocade, holding an old tooled book in falling rain.
March: a warm brown fish in a white ruff and ochre robes, in a study hung with maps, with brushes in a jar.
April: a green fish in a dark green coat embroidered with gold flowers, half hidden in reeds and new leaves.
May: a grinning fish with scarlet fan fins and coral tufts, in a harlequin's diamond collar of teal and gold.
June: a green fish in a pale blue floral coat and a white cravat, surrounded by roses, peonies and hibiscus.
July: a white fish in a golden coral crown and white fur over red and gold, holding a staff, with pink jellyfish behind.
August: a red and orange fish in a gold crown and gold trimmed ruff, painted in thick oil against pale green.
September: a spotted cream fish in a turquoise and gold coat with a nautilus shell, in pale green water among small fish.
October: a pale fish with long trailing barbels, hooded in ragged green cloth, in murky water with rising bubbles.
November: a blue fish in dark gold patterned brocade and a white cravat, in black water with a red jellyfish behind.
December: a turquoise fish in a jewelled gold crown and white lace, one hand raised, against a baroque wall of shells.
